Short Hawaii and Korea getaway

Just went to a short and sweet getaway with my little sister. It is her first year in the states and we went on a last minute trip before summer starts for her.

We are back to the Royal Hawaiian hotel again! Pink pink pink!!

The waikiki beach

Some Japanese home cooking.

Native Hawaiian hut.

Local farm market with tons of delicious produces, definitely try to sweet corn and the fried banana!

Mountains and trees, the city also have tons of pleasing green to offer.

That concludes our short stay in Hawaii. We are then off to Seoul for a little more shopping.

Welcome to Seoul. We were going to go inside but got too carried away…

Park Hyatt Seoul, they never disappoint. Very cozy and comfort room.

My favorite shower place.

Mr. Classy’ favorite.

Just want to include this as I walked into VCA to check out some pieces, and the SA was kind enough to offer me this little gift.

I put her business card in there just in case I forget.

It is this sweet cute little leather jewelry traveller pouch.

Can put earrings, watch, rings and a few more necklaces/bracelets. So nice and thoughtful of her!

and as I was shopping at H, my new friend there got me some gifts as well, not sure where I want to tie these ribbon yet.

Shopping at the young people mall. People waited outside and when it turns 10:30am, everyone got up and rushed into the mall, quite a scene.

Sister was trying out street food…argh…

and I haven’t been getting character stuff for a long time. This pen is so cute!!”Eating”

“Drinking”

and got this random dress too! Korean sizes fit me much better compares to Hong Kong sizing if I have to pick one, lucky me in Korea, the city of shopping!

and this pink top too. I still haven’t get to try it on, hope it is going to fit!

and this peachy skirt, I love how the laces.

Didn’t get a chance to actually see the city. There are just too much shopping to do!!!

Quick update

Hello readers, I am actually on a last minute trip to Hawaii and South Korea. Weather is so nice in Honolulu and Seoul, and these 2 cities have crazy late night shopping, especially in Seoul – street shopping doesn’t stop into the night until you see the sun again!! It is 3:30am now and I just got back from some shopping.

I will try to update when I get back home, things have been a little busy lately.

much needed comfort food

I couldnt sleep well last night, maybe Mr. classy was snoring big time. anyways j.mendel fitting got postponed to later so i got up, mad hungry.

when i went downstair, receiptionists were eating mcdonald and that got all my life long craving of massive junk food back in, i dashed to kfc and ordered my one and only number one meal, i felt like i was in college again.

i am so completed.

My guiltiest purchase ever!!!

As I was shopping for the evening gowns, I was also looking for hair accessories. I have been looking for a headband for a while, no Black and White from Chanel – it is a big no-no taboo in my culture. Mom is going to go crazy if she sees me wearing that.

And — as I was browsing at Dior, the SA found this headband in some random drawers and I had to take it home with me. That marked my guiltiest purchase of all, I mean, EVER!

You will see why!

Headband inside their meshy dustbag, Mr. Classy asked “what did you  buy today?” – NOTHING! I really don’t want to start hiding my purchases. Sooner or later, he WILL know.

Detailed with tons of beads and crystals.

and this is why I am so guilty…..I should have asked for the price before I go to the  cashier.

But this is so frenchy! Hit right on my weakness :(

Evening gown trying

These 2 days I went out and tried on some dresses and had some surprises finding. Here are some of them (that make sense).

Armani – the fit is perfect, just that it is a little too plain? Like I won’t even go out in this to an event?

Here is the first Dior, I love this one but Mr. Classy thinks it is too sexy, and Orange?? em not a fan he said.

Here is another one, Mr. Classy loves the color a lot, but I personally don’t like the cut, there is not much of a cut like my body becomes so flat.

Here is the last dior, I think it is quite stylish but maybe the color isn’t right?

Tried on a Gucci one next, it is pretty like we both love love love it! Just that it is Jersey fabric and we want silk.

I love this one too from J. Mendel, love the purple silk and how it fits the body, Mr. Classy doesn’t like one shoulder though.

this is another J. Mendel, very flattering and so oscar-ish! I love this!! We will see, the dark red color is nice!!

this is a surprise find from Liancarlo. I haven’t heard of him until today. He does wedding gown and this evening dress looks exactly like a wedding gown in black for evening!

Back of the dress, long long tail with stitched lace roses, velvet trim and crystals.

This is a Pink silk Valentino dress, very plain and the focus is totally on the fabric and the design. Pink for evening?

Yes my new toy arrived – Van Cleef & Arpels “Ruban” Ribbon ring

It is finally here! I tried on this Ruban/ribbon ring back in Hong Kong when I was waiting for Mr. Classy one day. Anything inside the Van Cleef store looks great. Mr. Classy prompted me to shop again so I did. Isn’t it how the story goes?

I wish I could just tear everything apart, I couldn’t wait!

Welcome to my new collection, Ruban between-the-finger ring!

As always, VCA managed to choose high quality diamonds and put them all together in such beautiful design.

I met a jewelry specialist from Christie’s before, and he told me looking at Van Cleef jewelries is like looking at a beautiful woman, and when you look at the reverse side of VCA’s jewelry, it is as if you are looking at the women’s lingerie.

This is how it looks having the ribbon ring on. It could look a little fragile as if it just kind of hang onto your hand.

At some point, Mr. Classy was looking at this ring and another ribbon ring by Breguet as my engagement ring. Isn’t it great I can actually wear my ballerine together with this?

Vionnet Black Velvet Pochette

I woke up kind of late today, I feel like I am still in the Island time zone. Anyways, without much intention to shop today, I managed to hunt down this little clutch by Vionnet. It is like a black horse choice, but it is so retro French if you know what I mean. I can so picture this with the retro curly hairdo like marilyn monroe.

Enough imagination, here is the little black velvet clutch by Vionnet.

It is like a little croissant

and it opens on one side with a snap.

It also has a mirror on one side, I found it quite cute like you can so openly check yourself out when you open the pochette. It is a cute idea.

I will try to put some pictures up when I get to use it, who knows?

and Mr. Classy wanted me to check out the Loro Piana sale for him, since I really shouldn’t be shopping, I was just looking around and look what I’ve found.

I bought 2 chair home. I think those were custom made for LP but they feel really great. Mr. Classy is a big home good person so I know he can’t resist them.

I also got my in-law another coat/cape from the event. It is in the bag all wrapped up now, but it is really cute. It looks like a medium length coat, with 2 side slits for the hands to come out. I can so see her wearing it! Women still want to look stylish even under the cold, that I am sure.

and the evilness continues… I was browsing HARD and found this unbelievable Van Cleef ring, will share once I get it!

Evening gown shopping!

Okay there are going to be just a few more updates on my evening gowns shopping! I am thinking of going with a Red Valentino or Lanvin gown, or a pastel Dior dress. It is going to be a fast decision once I get myself outside and check out these places.

Before I forget, I’d better post this up so that I can remind myself before getting pull away by other stuff.

Island hopper!

On the way back to Hong Kong, I decided to en-route myself through these places for punishing my missed connection in Frankfurt. It was a tough journey but I am thankful to all the airline crews who took care of me during my insane island hopper trip.

First stop was a quick night in South Korea.

I was staying at this transit hotel inside the airport, you can see the gate from the room.

Not hard to understand why people do this. Anything can happen when people were bored.

I got on Asiana flight and it was very enjoyable. The seats are so roomy and I got to get a good sleep.

YUMMY!! I am still unsure what class I was flying, but boy it was great!

My first stop at Saipan. When I was in college, I learned about Saipan and heard that the beaches and scenery is really great, aside from the garment factory. It is so true! My connection is a short one, with only a few hours on ground. I only managed to cab around and check out the area.

My last stop at Honolulu. It was a rainy day and check out this cute panda..

The Royal Hawaiian Hotel, also known as the Pink hotel. Everything there is pink like you can imagine.

This is my home for the night.

I know what you guys are thinking right now. “You lucky Bitxh!” Yes, it is a little too big to just have it all to myself. I wish Mr. Classy were there with me to sharing this 1.5 bath, kitchen, dining room and master bedroom with me. Next time maybe.

Pink Frette Robe! Someone gonna go crazy!

and Banana muffin in a pink bag! They are just as deadly as chocolate.

here is the elevator lobby where I was waiting for the elevator, and the pink wallpaper with the hawaiian flowers (forgot the name). Oh~

just stepped out briefly before going to the airport again. What a cozy spot to hit to check out the ocean. I forgot to take a picture of the view but it is quite a few steps away.

and FINALLY – all that for all these! I am glad to be home!

Wedding venue

This is going to be it!

People have been telling me to book a nice venue in Hong Kong, it normally takes 1 to 1.5 years in advance. All of a sudden, we decided to do the wedding in December this year, that only gives us 8 months to have everything planned.

Luckily, Mr. Classy’s mom helped us and selected down to a few places and that made the decision super easy.

It is going to be this place, with a lot of Childhood memory that my family shared as well. My father used to have business relationship and we used to go there a lot when I was a little kid. It is going to be so sweet to have my wedding there.

This is a dream come true to have a water view in an open area. Don’t know how it is like in the winter, hopefully still kind of warm.

and this is the actually banquet. Going to be a cozy one for only a handful of the closest people ever!

I am not sure if I was making sense, when I told Mr. Classy all I want is some view and not 4 walls. It was hard to escape the “walls” – i.e. the ball rooms and convention centers, but we’ve found it.

Last week in Hong Kong was quite a productive week. After dealing with my personal business there, we managed to pick a date, the venue, a makeup artist, my Chinese gown, pre-wedding pictures and deciding on the wedding favors already. Only a few more details to go and we are all set!

It has been such a great experience planning this wedding with Mr. Classy, I think I am starting to understand why people love planning their weddings. It is the communication and the openness that we exchanged during the process, and it is fun for us to come up with the same ideas too!

We have an issue now – is that we are trying to plan our honeymoon and it is going to be the hardest thing to plan for. Being in the winter, we eliminated all our top top top choices to all these exotic places like Tibet and such. Not being a water-loving person, I am not sure if I would like Maldives..All my friends go there for honeymoon and they seem to be happy. We will see if we can get to the Golden Triangle camp in Thailand..
